Life Change Diet. Are You Ready for The Change?
Like most of the diets we've covered, the Life Change Diet is more than just a diet for high blood pressure. It is a diet for health and normal blood pressure, maybe just the one for you. But unlike the others, it changes with time. How has your body changed from age 20 to age 40? Maybe it doesn't look as good. The muscles are not as firm. It may not feel as vibrant. It may tire faster. Typically, people approaching 40 may begin to jog and exercise. They begin to diet to lose that extra weight. They lose 10 or 20 pounds and feel pretty good, then go back to what they were eating before and gain it all back (plus more usually). They may have normal range blood pressure still and they may pass their physical exams. "Blood pressure is a little higher than last time, but well within the normal range - nothing to worry about," the doctor says. Ten years into the future the doctor will be singing a different song. What the doctor may not mention is that, basically, a 40 year old body doesn't need the food intake of a 20 year old body. Where does the unneeded consumed food go then? Simply, it goes to disease creation.
Guess what? I took 2 years to lose 10 pounds!
Not much of a diet, eh? Well, that was a year ago. Nothing much has changed except that I weigh a few pounds less now! How did I do that? Why didn't I gain it back? The secret is that I changed my usual diet and never went back to the old one! My old devil may care diet of 3 years back had gone away. Ancient history. Suppose that a 40 year old person, instead of just trying to lose some extra weight, made a permanent change in his or her diet designed to maintain normal blood pressure and health. By the time she or he reached 50, we'd see a person still with normal range blood pressure and less body weight - a healthier dudess or dude for sure. So, what do you do exactly? Start of Life Change Diet Right now make up your mind that your diet is changing forever. You are not going back to the old one. As you groove into the new diet, you'll go gradually. A year or two to work into it fully will not be too long. Slow and easy will win the race. Here's the way I'd groove it in: One day on the new diet, 6 days off. Do this for a month. Then, two days (doesn't have to be in a row) on the diet, 5 days off, for a month and so on up to 6 days on the new diet and 1 day off. Always reserve a day for eating anything you want. Okay, here are the specifics: Age 20 - Eat like crazy; eat whatever you want. Age 30 - Cut down on processed and snack foods; eat more fresh stuff and grains. Age 40 - Cut down gradually on portion sizes; eat less foods like fatty meat, whole milk dairy products, butter Age 50 - Limit meat and poultry to two times a week; eat more cold water fish like tuna, salmon and sardines; focus on vegetables, fruits and grains. Age 60 - Carry on with the 50 year old diet, but start eating smaller meals more frequently; introduce more herbal teas and pure water. Age 70 - Continue on with the 60 year old diet. that might be most beneficial. What to do if you are 60 and didn't make any changes at 30, 40, or 50. You'll need to speed it up. Do the 30 year old change from 60 to 62, the 40 year old change from 62 to 64, and the 50 year old change from 64 to 66. For more information on how to work in this Life Change Diet , see
