Blood Pressure Medications
"Side Effects" Are Just Effects

As with other drugs, blood pressure medications have "side effects." Let's take a look at what they are.

The dictionary defines a side effect as a secondary and usually adverse effect of a drug or therapy.

Let's say that a certain drug causes the side effect of dizziness. If the drug was supposed to cause dizziness, it would not be a secondary (or side) effect. It would be the primary effect.

You see, its just a matter of word mumbo jumbo. The drug causes effects period.

If some of the effects cause unintended harm, the drug companies and doctors call them side effects. It's like "Oops, we didn't mean for it to do that!"

Blood Pressure Medications That's one of the reasons my doctor wanted to see me more often after prescribing lisinopril. Of course, he wanted to see if the drug was working, but also, he needed to ensure it wasn't eating my guts out or something.

Blood pressure medications cause changes in the body. Some of the changes may be wanted and others unwanted.

Changes in the body happen 100% of the time from a drug. If these changes manifest as something visible or measurable, we call them effects.

Be assured that if our blood pressure medication side effects include dizziness, for example, the parts of your body that cause dizziness have been changed whether you feel dizzy or not.

This is why I consider the side effects of prescription drugs a serious matter.

Your doctor may well disagree with these statements and reasoning, so don't be surprised if he lectures you from his "superior" position.

Please make up your own mind about this. Don't be bullied.

Blood Pressure Medications If you want to lower blood pressure naturally toward your normal blood pressure range, the first thing I recommend is to change your diet.

As you succeed, ask your doctor to get you off the drugs.

Now, let's look at some blood pressure medication side effects.

What did you think of those diuretics side effects for instance?

Well, your doctor can take you off the drug and put you on another.

The bad news is that damage has been done to your insides regardless.

The good news is that you can recover through your determination and natural treatment.

Blood pressure drugs are just one type of heart medicine. To find out about the most common heart medications being used today, please visit heart medications.

I need to warn you here not to just stop taking the blood pressure medications you're on. Ask you doctor to wean you off of them as you begin to lower blood pressure naturally.

If he won't work with you to achieve normal blood pressure through diet and our other suggestions, find a doctor who will. They are around.
